Pakistan’s electric vehicle market has taken another step forward with the official launch of the Dongfeng Vigo EV by Chawla Green Motors, bringing a new all-electric compact SUV option for local buyers.
The Vigo EV has been introduced in two variants to suit different budgets and preferences. The E1 variant is priced at Rs. 6.99 million, while the higher-spec E2 comes in at Rs. 7.49 million. Bookings for both versions are open with a Rs. 1.2 million advance payment.
Public Display and Delivery Timeline
Interested buyers will be able to see the vehicle up close during a public showcase scheduled at Packages Mall from February 16 to February 18. Deliveries are expected to begin from the second week of February, subject to booking confirmation and availability.
Performance and Battery Range
The Vigo EV uses a front-wheel-drive setup powered by an electric motor delivering 161 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 45 kWh battery, offering a claimed WLTP driving range of 353 kilometers, making it suitable for daily urban use as well as longer commutes.
Charging options include 60 kW DC fast charging for quick top-ups and 6.6 kW AC charging for home or workplace use.
Size and Cabin Highlights
In terms of dimensions, the SUV measures 4,306 mm in length, 1,868 mm in width, and 1,654 mm in height, with a 2,715 mm wheelbase, giving it a balanced road presence and practical interior space.
Inside, the Vigo EV offers modern tech and safety features, including 17-inch alloy wheels, a 12.8-inch central touchscreen, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, Level 2 driver assistance systems, six airbags, and a 540-degree camera system.
